Product ImagesAn IMRC (Intake Manifold Runner Control) delete involves the removal or disabling of the IMRC system in a vehicle. The IMRC system is designed to optimize air intake at different engine speeds by controlling flaps or valves in the intake manifold, allowing for increased airflow at higher RPMs while maintaining better low-end torque and efficiency at lower RPMs. When you perform an IMRC delete, you effectively disable this system, allowing for constant, unrestricted airflow through the intake manifold at all times. This modification is often done in performance tuning, particularly in forced induction or highly modified naturally aspirated engines where the IMRC may become a restriction.
